Though the Miami summer heat was scorching and the infamous South Florida humidity was in full effect there was ample relief. You can easily find some shade with the abundance of exotic plants and trees that constitute Fairchild Tropical Garden. Miami Mango Brunch at Fairchild Tropical Garden had an All-Star Lineup of chefs serving up some of their favorite mango inspired dishes. The Miami Mango brunch started at 11 am sharp, and as the doors open you are met with a glass of mango champagne as you enter the room. The brunch setup changes from year to year. You could always come back for seconds or thirds…if you can fit it in! This year, each restaurant was stationed against a wall where they were serving up small plates of their mango inspired dishes. The tables were beautifully decorated with a Jamaican inspired theme and little Jamaican flags spread throughout the table, one for each seat.
Waiting at the table was a basket filled with mango inspired baked goods along with a couple of mango slices to sample. Cuisine at Oolite Restaurant in Miami Beach (Source: CBS4) Back in the kitchen, Wessel prepared his signature three grain salad for CBS4s Lisa Petrillo to taste.
Besides Oolite, here are the five restaurants that most. The basket of baked goods included mango-banana bread, mango cornbread, and mango cinnamon rolls. This weeks 3.5-star (excellent) review of Oolite puts the Miami Beach restaurant in strong company. The baked goods added a nice touch to the table and provided some delectable pre-brunch munching. I don't believe any of the folks we saw wandering inside from the auto show had any idea that they were about to eat a gluten-free meal. And the Frank Gehry-designed home of the New World Symphony is just down the street. It sits practically across the street from the convention center.

Floor-to-ceiling windows give the restaurant a nice, big-city feel. Inside the front door is a long wall made of, yes, oolite, with a bar to the right and a 240-seat dining room to the left. That tart/sweet theme shows up again in Florida Key lime pie ($9) with almond-granola crust. 0.1 mi - Vegetarian Friendly Vegan Options Gluten Free Options La Rocca Restaurant. Cobbler ($9), made with a cornmeal crust, showcases some wonderfully tart blackberries and a not overly sweet pastry.
I know that desserts can be particularly troublesome for the gluten intolerant, but you'd never know it from the Oolite offerings.
